Who is Dr. Croy...
Dr. Croy is a Board-Certified Sports Medicine and General Orthopedic Physician and Surgeon. He specializes in sports and trauma injuries and general orthopedic problems of the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, ankle and hip. His experience, breadth of knowledge, resourcefulness and constant optimism are a source of positive energy for his patients. Dr. Croy's personalized, collaborative care helps each patient to understand their options and to customize a plan tailored to restore maximum function and mobility.
Dr. Croy is also a Professional Engineer and has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He understands the forces that cause traumatic injury as well as the science and technology that enables optimal recovery. Patients appreciate his straight-forward explanations and his use of models and drawings to explain their specific injury and to identify treatment options.
Prior to joining Providence, Dr. Croy directed his own well-established private orthopedic practice known for excellence in care and service in Newberg. Dr. Croy also served as Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, where he combined his love of orthopedics with his natural teaching ability to guide student physicians in the emergency care of level 1 orthopedic trauma patients.

Dr. Croy practices at Providence Newberg Specialty Clinic located at Providence Newberg Medical Center. He sees patients, operates, and takes emergency room trauma call all in one convenient location. Dr. Croy welcomes new patients.
Dr. Croy is a member of the Providence Orthopedic Institute and an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Fellow. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in both Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgery.
